Storyboard Text

  • I'm feeding the plants!
  • What are you doing? That's not how it works. Let me show you!
  • Oh. But we need to eat plants. How does that work?
  • Plants make their own food. They use water, Co2, and energy from light to make glucose, which is what they use for food. It also makes oxygen which is what we need to breathe.
  • When we intake oxygen made by plants, and also the glucose, it goes straight to our cells. The cells take the oxygen and convert it into carbon dioxide, and ATP energy.
  • What’s ATP energy?
  • It is a type of energy that our bodies use to function. And then the Carbon Dioxide, we breathe out for the plants to take in.
  • So, Plants make glucose and oxygen, using photosynthesis, we breathe in the oxygen, and eat the glucose. Then, we make Co2, water and energy. We use the energy, and the plants use Co2 to make food!
