  • So many of our people have died lets take a few month to recover
  • Our people are dying from disease almost 50% of our population have died and cuitlahuac has also died
  • The Final Battle
  • Guess who's back
  • We have no allies, and so much of our people are gone. Winning this battle will be very difficult.
  • Cortes, the conquistadors, and the tlaxcalans allies retreated to Tlaxcalan for about 5 months to recover. The Aztec began dying from smallpox brought by the Spanish. The Europeans carried the disease in their bodies but didn't suffer from it. About 50% of the Aztec population have died from smallpox. Cuitlahuac died from the disease after being leader for only 80 days. Cuitlahuac's cousin became the new heuy tlatoani
  • After regrouping, Cortes returned to Tenochtitlan with his allies, the Tlaxcalons, as well as the warriors of Texcoco who formerly been members of the triple alliance. They turned against them after they saw the strength of the spanish. The Aztecs had no allies to support them in this battle. With almost half of the population gone it was hard for the Aztecs to defend themselves against the spanish
