Storyboard Text

  • Dad! Have you finished filling out the autobiography I asked you and Mom to sign?
  • Thanks, Dad. Bye!
  • Yes, Klare. I placed it in the kitchen table. By the way, don't forget to eat breakfast. We're heading to work now.
  • As Klare approached the front, she went over her paper and was aghast.
  • Class, please form a line and place the autobiography of your parents on the table.
  • Huh? Is this even possible? But I'm blood type AB...
  • Mother: Blood Type A Father: Blood Type B
  • When she went home, all she could think of was the blood type of her and her parents. Crazy as it may sound, but she had thoughts that maybe she was actually adopted.
  • Should I confront Mom and Dad about this? Since Mom's blood type is A, and Dad's is B, shouldn't I be at least blood type A or blood type B? Ugh! This is confusing!
  • So Klare, wanting to clear her confusions, went to the library the next day to do a research. She picked and read books about Genetics.
  • Multiple alleles is a type of non-Mendelian inheritance pattern that involves more than just the typical two alleles that usually code for a certain characteristic in a species...
  • The moment she went home from the research, she couldn't wait to try the Punnett Square diagram that she learned from one of the books she read.
  • Phenotype: AB-100%
  • Genotype: IAIB - 100%

  • Klare was beyond happy when she found out that a Blood type A and Blood type B parent can have a Blood type AB child. Her silly superstitions are, therefore, false.
