  • About 40 percent of teens who start drinking by age 13 develop alcohol addiction. 10 percent of those who begin after the age of 17 will become alcoholic.
  • 71.9 percent said that marijuana was their first drug of choice. 56.3 percent stated that they had first started using it when they were 12 to 14 years old
  • Among teens between the ages of 15 and 17 are entering treatment
  • About 78 percent stated that they had received the right kind of help for their needs
