  • Tower Of Babel Gn 11:1-32 By: Leslie Arizmendi 
  • The tower of Babel was named after that because the Lord confused the languages and it is named after the Babylonians which was approximately the word confusion. The lord then came down to see the city and  what the men were constructing. He spread the people of different languages around the world so they stopped building the city. They built the tower of Babel out of brick in the land of Shinar. God then saw that they were capable of doing whatever they said they were going to do. The family kept growing and growing 
  • "Then they said," Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the sky, and so make a name for ourselves;.." (Gn 11:4)
  • "So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth and they stopped building the city....the lord confused the speech of all the world" (Gn 11: 8-9)
  • "Serug lived two hundred years after he begot Nahor, and he had other sons and daughters"(Gn 11:25)
  • Human wickedness increases and the diversity of languages in the earth.
