Storyboard Text

  • You do not have the right to do whatever you want you imbecile!
  • The Magna Carta is a charter that was agreed by King John. Although signed by King John, it was created by the nobility in 1215! (I wanted to represent how much power the king had so I enlarged him and made everyone smaller representing the difference everyone is accounted for.)
  • The Nobility wrote the Magna Carta in hopes for limiting the King's power and rights knocking him down a notch. He was to have the same rights and has to follow the same law as everyone else!  I believe they were trying to accomplish an influence on  the economy and to spread a message with equal rights. (The visual above shows the king shrinking representing how the Magna Carta impacted the role of the King and how he was actually equal to everyone else !)
  • The document created a chance for equal rights among other individuals! It limited the King's power subjecting him to the law as well as everyone else. The Magna Carta acted as a peace treaty between King John and those who doubted him or rebelled him, like the nobility. (In this scene above it shows the King and all the other citizens "equal size" to represent how it really should be and that individual rights were going to dominate in the end.)
