Storyboard Text

  • The Farm.
  • The Speech.
  • The Revolt.
  • Manor Farm is a place that by human standards would be a successful farm. But to the animals, it is a cold place of torture and slavery. The farm animals are brutally presided over by a cold man, Mr. Jones. He is an alcoholic and continually abuses the animals. The animals are forced to work without pay, their labor's fruits are removed from them by force. Mistreatment and cruelty are rampant. But that is all about to change.
  • Old Major says that animals’ domination by Man is the only reason that they can't be free, happy, and fully filled. Man is “the only creature that consumes without producing.” His sole job is to be “lord of all the animals,” which causes him to be “the only real enemy” the creatures have. Man pushes the animals only to steal the fruits of their labor, and treats them well enough to survive and provide more labor. When Man is finished with an animal, he slaughters it with cruelty.
  • The day of rebellion has arrived. The animals prepare and finally launch their assault. It is spurred on by another daily round of mistreatment. The farm creatures fight with a cold and chilled nature, as was their hatred for their "masters." It ends with the animals expelling their from the Manor Farm, it is then rechristened as Animal Farm.
