Storyboard Description

Two fourteen year-old girls become unlikely allies when they are found guilty of murdering classmate James Heron. Only one problem: they are innocent. ................................................................................................................................ Asha Stevens had always been a good girl: she did her homework, followed rules, and obeyed her teachers & parents. But Asha feels her life is boring. When her friends, who are always trying to get her to be more outgoing and adventurous, invite her to a party at the esteemed Heron home, she agrees to go. ................................................................................................................................ Asling Gables was a troublemaker. That's what everyone said, anyhow. Honestly, Asling really wasn't: she'd just had a rough start and gotten involved with the wrong crowd. Asling was trying to reform her life, but it was hard. She hated the fact that everyone automatically assumed she was a goth, a troublemaker, a slut. Because she wasn't. So when Mari, a shy girl Asling had been hanging with lately, told her about the Herons' party, she decided to go.... ................................................................................................................................. Two days later, Asling and Asha had fled Doral, Florida. Blamed for James's death, they had no choice but to flee. Who is really guilty? Will they find the murderer or be murdered in the attempt? And how can they prove that they are innocent?

  • Midnight, somewhere in Mississippi
  • Aisling drove late into the night while I slept, which was really nice of her.
  • Seneca Flowers 1-800-23059
  • 3 am, St. Louis Missouri
  • I realize now that Asling's reason for driving was so that she could bring me here--to this mysterious place where she sleeps until daybreak. We had to ditch the Flower Power van.
  • Les Paradis (French for garden or refuge) St.Louis MO
  • Aisling says her great-grandfather, Sir Hawthorne, always told the family the garden was a refuge if anyone ever needed it, and put the key in a safe hold, where Aisling retrieved it.
  • To Be Continued
  • "Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose."    We're going to stay here, at Les Paradis, for as long as we can while planning where we'll head next. Maybe we could get out of the country? Somehow, Aisling will come up with a plan. I just know it.
