The nervous system controls all the voluntary and involuntary actions of the body. The nervous system works with other body systems by sending signals from one to another.
The central nervous system is made up of the brain and the spinal cord. The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. The cerebrum controls your conscious activities, intelligence, memory, language, muscle movement, and senses
The cerebellum is below the cerebrum. The cerebellum controls balance, posture, and coordination. The medulla controls all the involuntary activities like breathing.
All the nerves in the body except the brain and the spinal cord are part of the peripheral nervous system.
The peripheral nervous system carries impulses between the body and the central nervous system.
