Storyboard Text

  • After being woken up by Calpurnia's nightmares, thunder, and lightning, he realizes that these are all bad signs.
  • Caesar then orders a servant of his to visit a priest and tell them to make a sacrifice to see if they can rustle up a good omen.
  • Being the worried wife she is, Calpurnia asks for Caesar not to leave the house that day. He refuses her request and tells her that danger can look him in the eye.
  • Caesar points out that that gods will always get their way, no matter what.
  • Caesar gets word that the sacrifice didn't go well because the animal did not have a heart. Caesar takes this meaning that he will not have a heart if he stays home today.
  • After speaking with Decius, Caesar meets with the senate and welcomes them with wine even though being warned about going out .
