Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • He will never be able to walk
  • I can't do it brother and everyone else says so
  • Rising Action
  • I'm going to teach you how to walk Doodle
  • Doodle and his brother lived in a small, southern U.S. state on a small plantation. They also lived near a swamp where Brother and Doodle spent most of their time.
  • Climax
  • Doodle was disabled and didn’t have any good motor skills. He was born without the ability to walk and do other things. This caused brother to have to wheel Doodle around in a wagon.
  • Climax pt.2
  • Brother was eventually getting tired of having to wheel Doodle around in a wagon and had a new goal, he wanted to teach doodle how to move on his own. They spent their free time out in the swamp trying over and over to get him to at least stand on his own for a few seconds.
  • Falling Action
  • Doodle started to believe in himself a bit more, eventually Doodle learned how to take a few steps, which was enough to show the parents of both of them.
  • After seeing the happiness in his family's face brother realized that he only taught Doodle how to walk, run, swim etc. out of selfishness causing him to cry.
  •  I only taught him how to walk out of selfishness and wanting him to be normal.
  • Brother's exhilaration rush from teaching Doodle to walk was still strong. He wanted to go swimming but Doodle said he just couldn’t handle it.
  • I'm to weak Brother, I can't continue training.
