Storyboard Text

  • The taxes suck and I'm super poor, but at least I can afford bread.
  • I get taxed a lot, but at least I'm part of the bourgeoisie.
  • We love money!
  • So we agree that the 1st and 2nd estate should get better treatment than the 3rd.
  • No fair, you outnumber me!
  • Haha, were rich and he's not!
  • What should be the next move for achieving equality with the other Estates?
  • People in France were grouped into 3 classes. 98 percent of people were oppressively taxed by the high-class people so they could continue their luxurious lives. A lucky few were well off, but most of the peasants were poor and had trouble getting enough money to survive.
  • Let's burn them to the ground
  • You have issues jerry
  • King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette spent way too much and ended up worsening the already dire situation.
  • In their attempt to fix the tax problem, the 3 estates met. Because the top 2 estates outnumbered the 3rd estate in votes, the 3rd estate was not adequately represented and they were further taxed.
  • Yay! things are finally starting to go our way!
  • The people of the 3rd estate decided to make there own voting group that had a goal of eliminating the power of the crown. This is where the revolution was organized and discussed.
  • The people of the 3rd estate hosted raids of the nobles houses. On these raids, they found the documents that made them pay the high taxes. They burned them in an act of rebellion and revenge for putting them throughtarvation due to the tax on bread.
  • Eventually, people started siding themselves with the 3rd estate to keep themselves alive. People started to try and get life liberty and fraternity.
