We are Ken Fink and Bob Gross
Two film makers named Ken Fink and Bob Gross came to Welch from New York City to bring cultural uplift to rural Appalachia.
Ken and Bob showed a Swedish film in the school auditorium black and white. Not a lot of people showed up
After Ken and Bob showed the film Lori decided to show them some of her illustrations and they told her she needed to go live in New York city to be an artist.
"That there caddy, strikes me as Elvis."
That night Lori and Jeanette talked about escaping to New York City together. They would start saving up money to go there someday.
Lori and Jeanette told Brian how they had a plan to escape to NYC. Brian insisted on helping them save money to go even though he wasn't invited to come. That escape to NYC seemed to really be a go.
Dad brought home a gold Cadillac. Mom was mad because they lived in a trashy home but had a nice Cadillac car. They all fell in love with the car, they named it Elvis.
