  • The first part of the rising action is when George, Candy and Lennie are talking about their dream farms, hoping they could get out of working at the ranch.

  • The second part of the rising action is when Lennie crushes curly's hand, that is when you know he is bound to start more trouble
  • Resolution
  • The climax of the story is when Lennie accidentally kills Curly's wife
  • The denouement is where Aunt Clara is "telling off" Lennie when he is at the brush, a long with a rabbit who speaks appears, but aunt Clara and the talking rabbit were just in his head
  • The resolution is when George shot Lennie even though he didn't want to, he thought he was the one who should do it
