  • Mr. President we need to take Andrew Jackson off of the twenty dollar bill for all of the bad things he did.
  • He did this because it gave power to the white men rather than the government. He used it to benefit his own beliefs not America's.
  • Jacksonian Democracy: Safeguarding political power to the white male citizens so that there is majority rule
  • Get him off my bill!
  • Did you hear he did this to win the election!?!
  • I heard he hired a lot of his own political supporters. He sounds like he did some bad things.
  • When hiring his own supporters, Andrew Jackson benefited by taking away government power from people with opposing views. This means that most people he worked with liked everything he liked.
  • Spoils System is Hiring one’s political supporters.
  • The Indian Removal Policy is An act by congress that requests the government makes treaties with Native Americans to move them west.
  • Andrew Jackson used the Indian Removal Policy to his advantage by gaining land for settlement. He did this by making the Native Americans move West, away from their homes. This gave him all of their land to settle in.
  • He moved the Native Americans to the west so that he could settle their land! I don't know how someone could do that!
  • States Rights: Power given to individual states instead of the Federal Government.
  • He gave power to the common man which was far more uneducated than the government.
  • States rights was beneficial to Andrew Jackson because he believed in power to states rather than to the federal government.
  • Andrew Jackson used the War on the National Bank as an advantage because it showed that he was trying to help and protect the economy. But he did it to show dedication in order to win the election.
  • War on National Bank/Economic Decisions: A campaign created by Andrew Jackson in 1833 that wished to destroy the Second Bank of The United States because he believed that it’s opposer had a larger national backing.
  • He destroyed an entire National Bank. This negatively effected the owner.
