  • In 1880 Paris, France a young middle class woman whos name was Madame Loisel dreamt of living a life of luxury. One day her husband Monsieur Loisel comes home with invitations to attend a first class party.

  • the necklace is gone!!!!!!
  • Madame Loisel is excited about the party but she is was depressed because she doesn't have anything nice to wear, for she does not want to look like a pauper. Monsieur Loisel gives his wife four hundred francs to buy a dress.

  • Madame Loisel now has a dress but she depressed again because she has no jewelry. Her husband recommended that she asked her friend if she could barrow a piece and thats what she did.

  • me and my husband been paying for that necklace for ten years because we lost it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • the necklace was a fake. it was only made out of paste.
  • When madame Loisel got back from the party she noticed that the necklace was missing. Madame Loisel told her husband about it and Monsieur Loisel retraced their steps but had no luck.
  • The Loisels lost the necklace . They gatherd as much money as they could, they used their inheritance, they sold their house, they barrowed money from loan sharks and they had to fire their maid so they can buy a replacement necklace.
  • Ten years later they paid everything off. Still Monsieur Loisel worked night shifts and Madame Loisel had no maid so she did all the house work. One day she sees her friend across the street and decided that she would approach her and tell her about the necklace. At first her friend does not reconize her but when Madame Loisel tells her friend tells her that the original necklace was not real and was less than what she paid for.
