I am from here.
First I got used to advocating for myself. Then I got used to advocating for groups I am a part of. Now I'm learning to advocate for a better world.
I love to lead!
I've collected a lot of stories.
If I could, I'd avoid my disabilities and stick to my strengths. But the Academic world isn't set up that way.
Following is harder.
When we didn't live in Vancouver, my mother and I lived in my Grandpa's hunting trailor in Keremeos. I learned to learn and teach from my mom in the similkameen river bottom looking up at K Mountain.
Keremeos, in the Okanagan
I found teachers who helped me pull myself past that way of thinking.
I wasn't always sure I'd be able to.
I love to learn but,
I decided on this path years ago, It's been a joyous road and so far I'm here.
I spent a long time thinking that my brain didn't work right.
