King Louis the XIV was spending money on his new palace and the wars he was entering . This caused the people of France to be angry because the country was now poor
The estates general met and talked about the things to benefit the country. King Louis XIV wanted the people to pay more money for taxes for his likings.
The third estate which was made of the common people. They thought they weren't getting their say in the laws and ideas the other estates so they wanted to talk individually at the tennis courts.
At the tennis court in the palace the Third Estate declared themselves as a National Assembly of France. These common men and women swore the Oath Of The Tennis Court.
King Louis called for 18,000 soldiers to the palace. People were getting angry and on July 14 these angry mobs storm the palace bastille.
The National assembly signed a paper called the Declaration of the Rights of Man. This was the French version of the U.S. declaration .
