  • Brute Force Attacks: By Libby Hillock
  • Password attacks (otherwise known as "brute force attacks") are much like an attacker making their way through a maze of passwords to the treasure, which is your personal data.
  • The more complicated the maze, the longer it will take for the attacker to get through the maze of passwords.
  • Short, quick mazes can take minutes, even seconds, for the attacker to get through the maze.
  • Longer and more complicated mazes can take months, even years for the attacker to get through, and they will eventually give up.
  • Some mazes also include multiple layers, with each layer having a completely different layout than the others.
  • Having long, complicated mazes with multiple layers will ensure your treasure is never stolen.
