Pt.1- Aelous sent Odysseus with a westward wind towards Ithaca, with a bag of terrible storms. His crew opened the bag and it blew them back to Aelous. Pt. 2-Then they went to the island of the Laestrygones, cannibals, that destroyed their ships except one with boulders.

Pt.1- Circe turns some of Odysseus's men into pigs and Odysseus runs to save them. He gets help from Hermes before he confronts Circe. She turns them back but leaves them in a trance. Pt.2- After a year, Odysseus begs Circe to let them go back to Ithaca and she says the only way is to go to the land of the undead and hear a prophecy from Tiresais.
Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
Only instruct me goddess, if you will, how can I pass Charybdis or fight of Scylla?
Keep your thoughts intent on heading home
Odysseus and his crew arrive at Thrinacia shortly after stoping by Charybdis and Scylla. Odysseus was previously warned to avoid Thrinacia, but his men where begging him to stop and let him rest. He allows them to stop, but makes them swear to not to touch the cattle on the island. Which then Zues send a lightning bolt leaving Odysseus alone.
We can only thank the gods for saving me there.
In the Land of the Dead, Odysseus meets Elpenor, one of his men who died on Circe's island, who begs Odysseus to have him remembered when he gets back to land. He also meets the Prince of Thebes who tells him what to do when he arrives on Thrinacia. Finally, he speaks to his mother who tells him how his family has reacted to him being missing.
Whatever you do, do not eat the cattle of Helios.
On Circes's Island, Lady Circe offers Odysseus advice about the sirens, monsters (Scylla and Charybdis), and difficulties he will encounter on his voyages in the near future. She also warns him about lusting for war and riches instead of heading straight home.
Poseidon starts a storm, which almost pulled Odysseus under the sea, but the goddess Ino comes and saves him. She gave Odysseus a veil that kept him safe after the ship wreck. Athena also comes assist as he gets bullied by the water, then being pushed out into the sea near jagged rocks.
