Storyboard Text

  • YAY! We traveled all the way across the Atlantic!
  • The Pilgrims crossed the Atlantic ocean in the year 1620.
  • We are here!
  • Good idea, we can help eachother.
  • Let's go see if there are people around to talk to.
  • He taught us how to grow crops and harvest them.
  • They threw a feast for us natives.
  • *One decade later*
  • We came to the new world in 11 ships.
  • Over the next 2 decades, about  20,000 Puritans arrived in Massachusetts
  • We created our own government.
  • We based our government on the church because we were very religious people.
  • Because the government was based on the church, many laws came from the bible
  • We didn't really like the Natives. We tried to make bonds between them, but it didn't work out so well.
  • When the pilgrims and puritans came together and formed their own colony, they helped shape the culture and economy of the new world because they made their own government and taught each other how to farm and mixed cultures. They helped spread their religion.
  • But eventually, we combined to make one big colony.
