  • good and evil can be confused 
  • The 3 weird sisters were the ones that predicted Macbeth's "good" future.(A:1 S:1)  "Fair is foul and foul is fair hover through the filthy air"  (A:1 S:1) 
  • Lady Macbeth started planning after she heard that Macbeth became Thane of Cawdor and wanted him to have more power. Macbeth was having second thoughts of killing Duncan and Lady Macbeth convinced him to do it.(A:1 S:5-7)  After Macbeth killed Duncan, Lady Macbeth felt really guilty and committed suicide. (A:5 S:5)
  • Guilt can kill you 
  • Disorder causes punishment from god 
  • In Shakespeare's time it was a time where if you disrupted natural order you would be punished by god. When Macbeth killed Duncan he disrupted natural order to become king(A:2 S;2) "unnatural deeds do breed unnatural troubles." (A:5 S:1) 
  • There were many supernaturals in this play from witches to ghosts and floating dagger. The first time we see the supernatural was when the 3 witches predicted Macbeth's future which symbolizes evil and how their predictions will mislead and Macbeth's failure will begin. (A:1 S:1) After Macbeth killed Banquo he was feeling extremely guilty and started seeing his ghost. (A:3 S:4) 
  • The supernatural can cause failure
