Abraham Lincoln and his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, arrive at the Ford's Theatre on April 14, 1865 to see the play "Our American Cousin" along with Major General Henry Rathbone and fiance Clara Harris.

Around 10:30 p.m, John Wilkes Booth snuck into the President's Box, for it was not being guarded at the time. Booth shot Lincoln with a derringer. Lincoln would die around 7:22 the next morning on April 15, 1865.
