Storyboard Text

  • What is water erosion?
  • Water Erosion starts when runoff carries small particles of soil downhill.
  • Channels join together to form gullies. Gullies flow together to form steams.
  • Most of the sediment in streams is carries in suspension. A large amount of sediment is also carried in solution.
  • The water in a mountain stream moves quickly becuase it is flowing down a steep slope. Fast streasm cause abrasion.
  • Water erosion also can form v-shaped valleys, waterfalls, meanders, and oxbow lakes.
  • This makes so much sense! I love Science!!!!
