What is water erosion?
Water Erosion starts when runoff carries small particles of soil downhill.
Channels join together to form gullies. Gullies flow together to form steams.
Most of the sediment in streams is carries in suspension. A large amount of sediment is also carried in solution.
The water in a mountain stream moves quickly becuase it is flowing down a steep slope. Fast streasm cause abrasion.
Water erosion also can form v-shaped valleys, waterfalls, meanders, and oxbow lakes.
This makes so much sense! I love Science!!!!
