Hello, I'm an Rhyolite/ Igneous rock, but I know sooner or later I won't be for long! I can also become a Metamorphic or a Sedimentary rock! Let me first tell you how I became an Igneous Rock.
hundred thousands years ago...
Deep inside Earth where I have came, a volcano erupted now I'm not the same. Lava to magma, the thought is igneous. Rock experts know classify me as igneous.
Hundred thousands years later...
I got weathered here and got eroded and carried to the ocean and sediments are deposited here with me.
The arrow pointing down is the pressure on the rocks being cemented together, and the arrow pointing to the right is the rock being put to shore by the waves
I got washed up to shore and it definitely took some time. With more heating and pressure, I will turn into a Metamorphic rock, that looks like layers and layers of minerals.
Thousands of years later...
Metamorphic rocks are made by heating up or squashing the Earths crust, that's what I did so now I know I'm a Metamorphic rock for sure. They're often found in mountainous regions. Some other metamorphic rocks are called marble gniess, schist.
Millions years later......
Some people think the rocks are always the same, but let them just wait until they hit 5h grade! Some people just don't take the rock cycle for granite!
