Contrasts and Contradictions: Johnny yelled at the little boy in the flaming church and Ponyboy thought he was acting different than usual and he is doing that because he is determined.
Shut up kid! We goin' to get you out!
Aha Moment: When Ponyboy walks to the hospital hallway door, and realizes that Darry is actually crying, it changes things because Pony thought Darry didn't care for him and he really does.
Contrasts and Contradictions: Dally is always tuff and never shows emotion and started to show emotion about him not wanting Johnny to turn himself in and he is doing thay because he actually cares about Johnny.
