Child labor is when kids under 16 are forced to work long hours with little or no pay. About 1 in 6 children across the world are involved in child labor.
Even though child labor laws are in place, in many countries the leaders turn a blind eye because it helps the economy
The jobs the kids are working are very laborious. Kids will work hard and get injured. This is wrong because it is forced labor and kids deserve to be kids.
Many kids get hurt because of the dangerous environments. Kids can be forced to work with dangerous machinery, harsh weather, and more
Many children have died because of the dangerous conditions. About 70% of child laborers work in agriculture. the harsh conditions including pesticides, heavy machinery, and carrying heavy loads are very dangerous.
There are laws in place but many times the people in charge don't care. I think big companies that manufacture products in other countries should crack down on the child labor as a start. World leaders should also actually enforce the laws.
