Shut down the harbor until the colonists pay back for what they did
Anyone involved in rebelling against the king shall be guilty of treson
Colonists were insulting and throwing snowballs at British Soldiers. The Soldiers felt threatened and fired shots even though instructed not to. This angered the colonists and led them closer to revolution.
The Colonists were outraged by the The Tea Act which made them buy British East India Company Tea. They felt as though the company would raise the price of tea dramatically. They protested this act buy dumping tea into Boston harbor. This only made the British angrier.
In response to the Boston "Tea Party" the British came up with the coercive acts. Which meant that Boston harbor would be shut down until the colonists payed them back for the damage they had done, and there would be no more town hall meetings. This made the colonists very mad and they started organizing and led to the first continental congress.
