Storyboard Text

  • Isaac Newton 1643-1727 England
  • Edwin Hubble 1889-1953 California
  • Henrietta Leavitt 1868-1921 Massachusetts
  • Claudius Ptolemy 85-165 Egypt
  • Thank you for coming all the way to England to talk about our theories over a cup of tea.
  • The falling cup is a perfect example of a theory I have created on a force called gravity. Gravity is a force that pulls two molecules towards each other. I was able to test this theory with a form of math I created called calculus, Kepler's laws of motion and my own laws of motion. I also studied planets to prove my theory.
  • That theory gives evidence on why the sun and planets aren't floating away from the earth.
  • I created a theory on how the earth is the center of the universe. I Gathered evidence by looking up at the sun and stars and observing the patterns in their movement.
  • Planets go around stars and other galaxy's are floating away from us, not around us, so we can't be the center of the universe.
