Storyboard Text

  • We gotta get out of here man
  • I just thought of the best idea ever!!
  • I wonder what my crazy dad is thinking now
  • In the beginning of the story Daedalus and his son Icarus are exiled in a tower in Crete by the orders of King Minos
  • Follow me son!
  • Daedalus comes up with a solution to get himself and Icarus out of Crete and back home, he decides that he will change nature by creating wings in order to fly.
  • Daedulus connects feathers, placed from smallest to largest, with wax in order to created wings. Meanwhile, Icarus is playing with the wax.
  • Daedalus fears for Icarus' flying skills so he gives him instructions and decides to go first, telling Icarus to follow him and do as he does.
  • While rejoicing in his bold flight, Icarus flew higher than his father and ended up flying too close to the sun, causing the wax of the wings to melt.
  • Icarus is entangled in the mess of feathers and wax, the sea overcomes him and he drowns. Daedalus shouts out his son's name, and discovers his wings in the water, realizing he is no longer a father. :(
