Storyboard Text

  • Vocabulary: Savagely
  • Savagely means in a violent, fierce manner. It can also mean to do something in a savage way.
  • Climax
  • I believe that the climax of the story was when the children noticed that the rain stopped, and ran outside.
  • One detail the story uses to back up the theme that people are sometimes mean to people that are different is,"What’re you looking at ?" said William. Margot said nothing. "Speak when you’re spoken to."
  •                            Theme
  • The word Savagely means...
  • External Conflict
  • Go Hamza!!
  • Climax. What is the climax of "Summer in a day"?
  • Personification
  • Theme. What is the theme of the story ?
  • Resolution
  • An example a external conflict.
  • I'm sure that one external conflict is the child William bullying Margot and hurting her.
  • An example of personification.
  • Clearly one example of personification is ," They stood looking at the door and saw it tremble from her beating and throwing herself at it." This shows how hard that Margot wanted to see the sun.
  • The end of "Summer in a day " is when all the children come inside. One child to her dismay remember that they forgot to unlock Margot. The kids and the teacher all walk over to Margot and slowly let her out.
  • The ending of the story.
