  • I found it. I was just petting it, George.
  • Foreshadowing
  • I should have done it.
  • Rising Action
  • Leggo of him, Lennie. Let go.
  • Lennie and George are camped beside a river discussing their new job. Lennie wants to drink water from the river but George says he shouldn't because the water is dirty.
  • Climax
  • I done a bad thing. I done another bad thing.
  • After Candy, George, and Lennie finished talking about buying the old place for themselves. Candy called out for George, telling him that Candy shouldn't have let someone else kill his dog. 
  • Falling Action
  • Where could he be?
  • Lennie wasn't fighting Curley back. Until George was shouting to Lennie to fight back, that is when Lennie got ahold of Curley's fist. Next thing you know Curley is flopping like a fish on a line.
  • Resolution
  • Yeah, a drink.
  • Come on, George. Me an' you'll go in an' get a drink
  • Curley's wife and Lennie were just talking but then she let him feel her hair. Lennie could feel how soft it was, he didn't want to let go. That is when Curley's wife started to scream, Lennie had snapped her neck without knowing.
  • Before the hunt for Lennie started. When Curly saw his wife dead, he didn't trust George, he thinks that he might be involved with Lennie. So to prove him wrong, George went with them.
  • Couldn't we just lock him up?
  • George found Lennie, Lennie thought that George would start yelling at him but he didn't, instead, George started to talk about all the things that they were going to do once they bought the old farm, and that Lennie would be tending to the rabbits. Lennie was thinking all the happy memories before George killed him.
