Long before time, animals could talk. There was a Bear who believed he was the mightiest of all creatures.
Bear walked along the forest, acting highly upon himself.
Along came a chipmunk. Chipmunk did not believe Bear was almighty, challenging him that if the sun did not rise tomorrow he would believe in Bear.
"Do not Rise Sun."
"Bear so foolish!"
But, much to Bear's dismay, the sun rose. Chipmunk laughed and made fun of poor Bear. This made Bear so angry he wanted to kill Chipmunk.
Before Bear could kill Chipmunk, he fooled him into letting him go. But Bear's claws caught his back and made wounds. During the winter these wounds healed. Now when we see the two black stripes of a Chipmunk's back, we know the tale of Bear and Chipmunk.
