Storyboard Text

  • Hi Mr. Smith I am having a hard time with Solving and Graphing Inequalities. Can you help me?
  • I found this good equation it is 18> 5k+4k, I think it is a good start.
  • Sure Sterett come over here to the board and I will help!
  • The third step is to combine like terms this is one of the key factors in distrubutive property.
  • The first step is to combine like terms on both sides so combine 4k and 5k. Then use the 18 as a reciprocal.
  • I think this Helps!
  • My Equation is: 18>5k+4k. Solving on next comic.
  • The second step is to break down addition and subtraction.
  • Now lets solve your equation on the other board
  • So first set up the equation like this: 18>5k+4k
  • Then since the addition was already taken away from the equation we do not need to eliminate any multiplication, division, addition, subtraction because there is none.
  • Sterett's Supendous Storyboard
  • Great it's all coming together!
  • Now combine like terms which means to add 4k+5k.
  • Good I am glad you are understaning it.
  • By:Sterett Farmer
  • Great! I am becoming skilled with two step equations now!
  • So K=2!!!!
  • Ok Sterett the last step is where we will find the solution.
  • 18>5k+4k So 5xk=10 and 4xk+8 what is K!
  • Ok now the problem is set up lets solve!
  • That's Right!!!
  • Ok, got it!
  • K=2 Always remember when you solve a inequalities problem you have to graph it like this.
  • 0
  • 1
  • 2
  • 4
  • 5
  • Yes thank you so much Mr.Smith this will definitely help on my Friday 15's!
  • The End
  • Ok Sterett are you now confident with two step equations and graphing?
  • Big shoutout to Ms.Scoggin for being a great math teacher!
