Today I will be telling you what the Eucharist is, what it means to me and how it is connected to Jesus Christ
In Christians lives, the Eucharist connects to us every day. By taking the Eucharist, you not only grow closer to Jesus, but we agree to live like Jesus. This means we have to love others and be kind, understanding and generous people. There are lots of times we relate to the Eucharist each day and every day.
Jesus Christ plays a vital role in Christianity and the Eucharist. Jesus said "Do this in memory of me" at the last supper. In the Eucharist, we take his body and blood each week. That shows how powerful the bond between us and Jesus is. We take the Eucharist in memory of Jesus.
Jesus is also a major part in the Eucharist. In fact, Jesus is the reason why we celebrate the Eucharist. Let me tell you why. At the last supper, Jesus blessed bread and wine and said "this is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me" Sound familiar?
This is almost exactly what happens in the Eucharist nowadays. We take Jesus' body and blood during the Eucharist in memory of him. Just like he told us. Christians like me want to strengthen our relationships with God and Jesus Christ. That is why we celebrate the Eucharist. Because we have faith and wat to keep and strengthen it.
The Eucharist is a symbol of the life, the death and the resurrection of Jesus performed in mass which means he is present during the ritual. That's what the term 'real presence' means. Jesus is with us during the Eucharist.
