Teala gets a text from Sam that catches her offguard. Deep down in her heart, she always had feelings for him, beyond friendship. Not until now did Teala know the feeling was mutual. The text Teala received from Sam was a request for a date to the roller skating rink, on the upcoming Valentines' day. Teala replies, nervously, saying yes.
The next day at school, Teala meets Sam during lunch and the conversation about their planned date is brought up. The situation is a little awkward but the tension is broken when Sam gives Teala an impressive drawing. The two teens began discussing their plans together for valentines' day. Sam kisses Teala on the cheek and strangely scurries away.
The next day had come, and Sam picked Teala up at 7:30PM. The traffic delayed them by one hour, so they arrive at the rink at 8:30PM. Teala and Sam have dinner before they enter the roller skating rink, but Sam impresses Teala by ordering exactly what she wanted. So far their date is going well.
After dinner, Sam and Teala enter the roller skating rink. Teala has trouble keeping her balance, but Sam helps her not fall. The two of them share laughs and chatter while they skate to the upbeat music. The date is going better than expected at this point, and Teala didn't think anything could ruin it now.
All of a sudden, Teala and Sam hear an alarming sound. It was an explosion coming from outside the rink where they'd just had dinner. Teala was anxious and Sam was terrified. They skated out of the rink and saw a mammoth fire on the table of one of the restaurants. It was haunting.
Teala and Sam found the nearest exit and ran like their lives depended on it, which it did. They barely made it out of the building before the fire consumed them. "Well that was a date to remember, am I right?" Teala says sarcastically.
