We had been called to investigate the Douglas mansion for two reasons. The first being the neighbours had been hearing strange noises from the house every since they moved there and the second being two dead bodies was found Thursday morning.
We soon figured out what had happened. The killer it seemed, had carelessly committed his crime and barely tried to cover his tracks.
Mrs Douglas, we uncovered through hours of investigating, had first realised something out of the ordinary was going on when she found her and her husband's butler sitting strangely in the basement, almost as if he was praying.
In the room next door, a bloody dagger lay on the floor. It was then Mrs Douglas realised what had happened. Their butler, 'Gerald', was what Mr Douglas would call 'different' and she was sure her local doctor would find him an 'interesting specimen'.
As she came to the realisation their once loyal butler had murdered her husband, she heard a noise. Quiet at first and then growing louder and louder.
It grew so loud it seemed to be coming from right behind her. She turned around and her eyes rested on the last things she would ever see, the blood red pupils and devilish grin of her butler, Gerald.
