  • Why are there trees and animals? I thought they were extinct!

  • "The gate slid open. Before he was quite ready for it, Brock found himself outside the protection of the dome...  Perhaps he was a deviant for wanting to see the mountains for himself." (13-14, Paterson)

  • "And how are we going to raise a pack of dogs in a dome?One is nearly eating us out of test tube and petri dish. We can't go on like this" (73, Paterson)
