Storyboard Text

  • PTE Keng Yi Ge: I don't feel like going to camp today. I should just go report sick at a clinic today but at a different clinic than the one previously in case they refuse to give me MC twice in a row.
  • PTE Moh Ti Vate: Sir! my buddy PTE Keng reported sick again today. He got an MC from a clinic outside camp.
  • PC En Kar Rage: PTE Keng has been on MC too many times and his MCs are usually from different clinics. Maybe he Chao Keng. Okay, i will monitor the situation.
  • I don't want to hear excuses! You have been absent from camp for too long that's why you make such mistakes!
  • Why did you not fold your blanket like the rest of the section?! You shall be confined this weekend and practice folding blankets till you are proficient in it!
  • Sir! i think the punishment is too severe for my mistake.
  • PTE Keng Yi Ge does not like to serve NS. His routine when he doesn't feel like going to camp is to report sick in clinics outside of camp, making sure to visit different clinics to prevent the doctors from realising that he is buying MCs.
  • Let PTE Keng know i want to see him in my office when he gets back. I will talk to him to find out why he is so sickly. I have my suspicions but i shall withhold my judgement and see what he has to say.
  • PTE Keng's buddy, PTE Moh reported to PC En about his MC. PC Moh starts to suspect that PTE Keng is trying to escape NS by taking MCs from multiple sources but since PTE Keng has MCs as proof he can't punish him for that.
  • We shall meet in my office once a week to see your progress and for you to address any other issues you may encounter. I believe within the remaining NS days we can help you find purpose in serving.
  • Sir, thank you for helping me out and not condemning me. I will try my best to contribute.
  • PC En now has a mental model of PTE Keng as a Chao Keng soldier thus he tends to be bias against PTE Keng in meting out punishment, often giving more severe punishments which he justifies as a punishment for PTE Keng's Chao Keng behaviour.
  • PTE Keng, i can help you with your family's financial status by applying for financial aid. You on the other hand must help yourself in finding purpose and meaning in serving NS. Recall at the start of BMT when you and your section worked together to pull through field camp? That is one way you can contribute to national defence by treating your training seriously and building camaraderie with your section mates to form an effective team. Maybe through contributing in your section you might start finding purpose in NS.
  • PC En decided to withhold his judgement and see what PTE Keng has to say when he gets back to camp from his MC.
  • Yes Sir! I'll get him to see you in your office when he gets back.
  • PTE Keng will meet PC En once per week to update on his situation.
  • PC En offered to help PTE Keng with his financial problems by applying for financial aid. He encouraged PTE Keng to contribute to NS starting from within his section and maybe along the way he might find meaning in serving.
