Hello Gentlemen! I see you have both come to help discus the power of the new Constitution
Good day General Washington!
Hello General, Hot weather were having!
Yes sir, I am in favor of establishing a strong national government
I disagree, the greatest power should belong to the state governments
I will preside over the convention from here. Lets hear your stances.
We need a strong Federal Government with more power in order to keep the peace. The Constitution needs to be the law of the land, States cant run around making their own laws!
I very much disagree. Giving all the power to the federal government is to much like a monachy! The states need to meet the individual needs of their people!
To protect states rights, they can make all the laws/ rules not designated to the federal government...
... And in return the Constitution will be the law of the land, and states cannot make laws against it
Excellent compromise men, lets put it on paper and finish this Constituion!
