1754-1763 French and Indian War British and France are fighting over land disputes. (seven years war)
1763 proclamation of 1763 The Proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George the III. It setted a boundary which was the Appalachian Mountains. No settler could move west of the mountains.
1764 Sugar Act Taxes were put on goods sent to the colonies. The colonist didnt like the act very much so the responded with " No taxation without representation."
1765 Stamp Act All documents that stated taxes needed a stamp proving that the taxes were paid. Due to this act colonist formed the Sons of Liberty.
1764 Townshend Acts The toleraction act put taxes on glass, lead, paper, and tea inported tho the colonies. The colonist boycotted these items.
1773 Tea Act (Boston Tea Party) Due to tax on tea colonist dressed as native americans and threw chests of tea over board.
