Storyboard Text

  • After a day and a half, they reached land. Danae couldn't get the chest open. A nearby fisherman heard their cries and opened it up for them.
  • Dictys, the fisherman, took Danae and Perseus to his home where he and his wife cared for him
  • Thank You So Much!
  • Perseus grew into a strong young man and became a fisherman on that island
  • Danae and Perseus were content until Polydectes, Dictys' brother, fell in love with Danae and tried to force her to marry him.
  • I have to get rid of Perseus!
  • You will not marry my mother!
  • Polydectes pretended he was going to marry another princess so he asked everyone to bring a gift.
  • Then I shall tell you of a gift you shall win for me, but I do not know if you are brave enough to get it.
  • Alas, I am too poor to bring a gift for a ruler and his bride.
  • First Athena flew down from MT Olympus with her shield, which she gave to Perseus.
  • Thank you Athena. But I do not know Medusa lives. How shall I find her?
  • You must use this as a mirror when you slay Medusa. In this you will not look at her directly, but only her reflection.
