- The kings (Minos) has asked Deadalus to come build something for him and he pays well. Was also told to bring his son.

- Minos will not let Deadalus leave because he is the only on who knows the way of the maze, Icarus is crying because he doesn't want to stay.

- Daedalus has to stay in a apartment in a tower guarded, so he doesn't leave he is also forced to do work for the king.
