When Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon, a woman came to him and poured a very costly ointment on him. • As they ate, Jesus took a loaf of bread, blessed it, broke it and gave it to the disciples and said "Take, eat; This is my body." Then he took  glass of wine, gave thanks, gave it to the disciples saying "Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink the fruit of the vine (wine) until you all have joined me in heaven."
  • The soldiers took Jesus to the governor's headquarters. They stripped him, put a scarlet robe on him, put a crown of thorns on his head, mocked him and spat on him. Then they beat him, stripped him again, put his own clothes on him again, then led him away to crucify him again.
