When the Kansas Nebraska act was passed by congress, many southerners saw a opportunity to get slavery into the north. but The north also saw this problem so the went into these territory too. The southerners then proceed to wreck and burn free settlers shacks, so the north did the same thing
On March 6, 1857 the Supreme court made one of the most worst cases in the history of the supreme, and not giving a free man his rights, and sending him back into slavery.
In the Lincoln Douglas Debates, Lincolns and Douglas Debates were very long, and Douglas was for slavery and Lincoln for free slaves.
