  • Joan, you must lead the french army...
  • At the young age of 13, Joan of Arc heard voices and had visions for the first time . Before, she had lived a pretty normal life. At first, she was scared of the voices, but she was soon reassured by them.
  • When Joan's voices began, France was in chaos. Once she reached the fort and she asked for soldiers,  she was laughed at, but was soon granted soldiers. When she reached Charles, he agreed that God had sent her.
  • I need to continue my journey on horseback.
  • The battle of Orleans was Joan's first big challenge.  In 1429, she led the French army into war.  Before, Orleans had been under siege for six months.
  • Come on troops!

  • French troops began to get tired, and deserted Joan's army. The Burgundian captured her for a huge ransom. Charles made no effort  to rescue the woman that helped her so much. 
  • I'm going to capture you!
  • They had a trial to see if they would agree to let her go. Then, they put her on a cross and burned her. She remained very calm throughout her death.
  • You are sentenced to death!
  • After her death, they found her predictions were right. She was deeply remembered and had a big impact on troops, without her, many people wouldn't be alive.
  • She is dead!
