At the age of only 13, Joan was sure she heard voices from god telling her to go on a ambition to put the Dauphne on the throne and to drive out the English. Although it was strange, she was not afraid.
What is happening?!
When she heard the voices, they told her to dress up as a boy. She did. She cut her hair and went and found Charles, but he set up a test. She passed that test to find him in a crowd. She also inspired the French to fight fiercely the French won against the English.
My name is Joan, I am here to defeat the English and crown you
When she visited Charles, all he had for her was armor. She told the people that she predicted there was a sword behind the Church. That's where she got her sword. While fighting, Joan got hit with a arrow. However, she knew she would let them down if she gave up. She pulled it out and battled.

Joan was captured during one of the battles. The English had 6,000 soldiers, the French only had 300. So, she knew they had to launch a surprise attack. When the French guards saw the English coming, they closed the drawbridge. Therefore, she was left out. The Burgundian leaders took her.
After she was captured, she was put on trial for witchcraft. The trial started on 1431. The English pressured her with questions she had good answers to. They thought by making Joan have less power, they thought it would knock Charles off the throne.
Did god command you to put on mens clothing?
When the English finally decided she should die, she was burned at the stake. It was a public execution. They tried to kill her to prove that god wasn't with her. Joan still remained a legend, and the English hadn't taken any power from the french. She also was declared a Saint.
