  • Why was it written?
  • we need to protect our rights
  • we need to declare independence
  • What did it say?
  • "All men are created equal"
  • There were couple of people who wrote,edited,and composed the declaration of independence. Among those people there was (Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, John Livingston, and Benjamin Franklin)
  • When was it written?
  • The colonists started to believe that there was some unalienable rights should be protected. Among these rights there was (Natural rights, Liberties, and Persuit of happiness)
  • Where was it written?
  • The decalration of independence supported the idea of "All men are created equal" means that no one is above the law. Colonists felt that there rights was taken away by the Great britain, So they declared independence.

  • It was written at the beginning if may in 1776. but before they publish the final draft it had to be voted on by the Continental Congress on July 2nd, 1776. The final draft was published on July 4th, 1776.
