  • The king and queen of Thebes just have their first born baby. But before they can name him, a prophecy told them that when the boy grows up, he will kill his own father. In pure terror, the king and queen decided to throw the baby away with a bloody foot so that the baby can bleed to death.
  • Climax
  • After they dumped the baby, a shepherd found him and decide to give him to his king and queen because they don't have a baby, and they named him Oedipus. Oedipus was having a normal life until his friend told him that he was adopted and he decided to reach out to the Oracle and found out that  at one point, Oedipus will kill his own father
  • Falling Action
  • Surprised by the Oracle saying, Oedipus decides to return to his hometown, Thebe, to avoid the prophecy. On his way back, an old man shouted at him, telling him that he needed to move faster and tell his men to deal with him. Out of pure anger, Oedipus attacked the troops and the man, killing them at the same time.
  • Resolution
  • When he arrived at Thebe, he defeated the Sphinx that have been terrorizing the people and the people crown him king. Later, a plague came and the solution was to find the killer of the last king. He reached out to a blind prophecy and he told Oedipus that he was the reason of the plague. Oedipus was furious that his wife did not told him the truth and rush home to kill her. But she was a step a head of him. I, Oedipus found out the truth and disgusted by the truh, he goued out out his eyes.
  • As the king, he banished himself, leaving Thebe for both of his sons. As for his daughters, he brings them with him on his journey, as a guide.
  • In his last day, he was told that he will be struck by lightning but he just passed away of old age.
