  • John F. Kennedy January 20, 1961-November 22, 1963
  • Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.
  • Lyndon B. Johnson November 22, 1963-January 20, 1969
  • Party: Republican Eisenhower served as the supreme commander of the Allied Forces during WWII. He was encouraged to run by the Republican Party. He was active during the Korean War and ordered the desegregation of the military.
  • Richard Nixon January 20, 1969-August 9, 1974
  • Party: Democrat JFK was the youngest president ever elected. He prevented nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis and lowered taxes to stimulate the economy. Kennedy was shot while parading through Dallas.
  • Gerald R. Ford August 9, 1974-January 20, 1977
  • Party: Democrat Johnson was sworn in on Air Force One right after Kennedy's death by the former first lady. He fulfilled some of the plans of JFK like the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He also began a barrage of poverty reforms he called the "Great Society."
  • Party: Republican Nixon ran on the promise that he would get American troops out of the Vietnam War. He was successful in reducing tensions with China and the USSR but he resigned from the Watergate Scandal.
  • Party: Republican Gerald was nominated by Nixon to take the office. He put much effort into curbing inflation and lowering taxes on businesses. He helped prevent a war between Egypt and Israel by providing them aid.
